Chinese efforts in Optics/Photonics-An Eye Opener

In the April 2012 edition of  LASER FOCUS WORLD at page no 40 reports that at Tianjin University,, College of Precision Instrument & Optoelectronics Engineering  offers five batchlor's degrtee of which three are directly related to optics/photonics having 700 students and six postgraduate disciplines for optics/photonics have 300 master level students and 50 PhD students.. It has 200teachers including 60 professors and 58 Associate Professors which may be more than all the people seriously involved io Optics/Photonics in India.
So Jaago INDIANS jaago else like in electronics you will become a net buyer and support team in Optics/Photonics also. If you believe that in this field skil and inteligentia matter more than Machine  , we must exploit this superier level of our skill in this filed or we will keep loosing. So far current leaders of Optics and Photonics Sciuentist/Engineers and Tecahers have miserably failed to deliver and its upto young turk in this field to lead otherwise we will perish.

Welcome Well Wishers of Indian Optical Industry

India happens to be among top five country of world in Optical Instrumentation. One of its city Ambala was better known as "CITY OF INSTRUMENTS" and a world known place for  Laboratory instruments but it has lost its glory. Like all other engineering and science equipment all are buying equipment from China and just stamping here in its own name.  We lost one war in 1962 with China and have lost another war last decade when  by way of giving up all our economic competitiveness to China and a simple ECONOMIC SURRENDER. Sad enough is that we are giving all  finances to China ourselves without any resistance by importing a lot from China anddamaging our own future. The export surplus earned by China from India is enough for them to build military might around India and encircling India with enemy and also funding Maoists and others inside India.
It has killed all our local expertise in filed of Optics and our blind Experts, Policy Makers and Government is seating deaf and dumb or perhaps helping for bad. You all are invited to Share your views on what to do for revival of Optical Engineering in India.
Welcome all Optics Person of this Country on this Blog.
